THE COMPANY Our client is an industry-leading environmental engineering, consulting, and testing firm with more than 100 offices and 2000 employees around the country. It is a stable industry leader with an established Colorado/Rocky Mountain operation. It serves the commercial, institutional and industrial markets. Our client seeks a growth oriented business manager to lead its Denver area regional office that does work in Colorado and the surrounding states. RSMR / TRANSEARCH, a specialist in global executive search in environmental engineering and consulting, has been retained to identify a leader for this key role.
THE ROLE The District Manager – Colorado will serve as the profit and loss manager of this ~$2 million business unit. This role requires an organized and professional high-achiever who will bring an aggressive, entrepreneurial spirit without losing focus on the important details of building the business and increasing profitability. In keeping with our client’s commitment to service, this individual should be well versed in the critical drivers of their clients and delivering value to them in a clearly defined manner. To succeed it will be imperative that this person grow and motivate a strong team of committed project managers, consultants and technicians who will execute projects profitably and adhere to standardized business practices. It is essential that this individual be a relationship builder on all fronts: with clients, employees, and executive management. This individual’s initial objective will be to grow the business by 50% during the next couple of years while maintaining profit margins and developing the business plan.
Along with a strong technical background in geotechnical engineering, environmental consulting, and construction materials testing, the company requires a clear thinker and persistent motivator.

Qualifications: • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field • Colorado EIT or PE with a minimum of three years of design experience • Design proficiency in MicroStation • Excellent problem solving, communication, and writing skills

MWH Geotech Position - Feb '11
MWH is seeking candidates for full time entry level engineering positions based out of our downtown Denver, Colorado office.
Job Responsibilities • Working on a team to conduct investigations for geotechnical, hydrological, construction, exploration, and other purposes for a variety of applications, including mining and mine planning, reclamation design, embankment, tailing impoundment, and lined facility design and construction, and other projects • Interpretation of field data for incorporation in site designs and recommendations • Constructing 3D geologic models of sites based on site data • Preparing mine plans, reclamation plans, and production/construction schedules • Site design work, including excavation design, drainage and sediment control, tailings impoundments, mine plans, reclamation plans, grading plans, and mine closure plans
Required Qualifications and skills • BS in mining, civil, or geotechnical engineering • 0-3 years of geotechnical, mining, or heavy civil engineering experience, preferably within the mining industry • Detail oriented and accustomed to producing high quality work • Solid report writing skills • Excellent organization skills • Willing to travel
